I don't really care anymore
Hey there,
We live in a world where everyone has opinions. No matter where we go, how old we grow or what we do in life, we cannot quite escape it. The opinions on how to think, look or feel. We're even being told what to eat, what to wear or how to raise our kids.
Quite frankly, I don't think it's particularly healthy for us. And I cannot help to think that we aren't built to constantly process these endless amounts of data, that we're being fed with.
I learnt this the hard way, myself. I have always been aware of that people will have opinions when you dare to put yourself out there. But I never quite imagined the ENORMOUS amounts of opinions people would shower me with, when my Youtube channel started taking off in the fall of 2020. They'd say we were fake and pretenders. That we mistreated our dog Tuss, because she was "too skinny"... And I still remember how crappy I felt that fall, because I didn't know how to shield myself from all of these voices and opinions. I let every little word get to me.
I know better today.
These days, when I post a new video, I only spend time in the comment section during the first evening. Then I let it go. I really do want to show you that I appreciate your comments and the time you take to share your thoughts. But I've needed to set that one boundary, because I know that not all comments come from a good and positive place. And honestly, I don't want that kind of negativity in my life.
So, why am I telling YOU this?
Because this applies to you too. You have a choice, when it comes to what you consume. No matter if it is a series on TV, the opinions of people in your life or the information you're being fed on adds and news. You don't have to watch the news, if they always end up giving you anxiety. And you don't really have to listen to the ever-complaining work colleague or even the family member that keeps telling you "it's impossible".
It is up to you who you listen to. So choose carefully what you consume.
And one thing is for sure โ I've never felt better than I do today, when I've stopped listening to everyone's opinion. If you're not there already, I hope you'll learn to do the same one day โค๏ธ

If you follow me on social media, you know by now that we've FINALLY started the project of building my A-frame. I'm sooo excited about how it is turning out! And to show you how it's going ๐
Recently, I've released not only one, but TWO videos where I take you along the building project.
In Part 2 of this video, I'm giving you a deeper look into the details of the project. I share the materials we're using, what is actually costs to build this dream cabin of mine and I let you in on how I plan to decorate it once it is done.

My Top Three
โ๏ธ Quote: "Artists don't need more ideas, they need more deadlines."I don't know who said these words, but I recently heard them in a podcast. And they really hit me. I'm the type of person who always pushes deadlines to the max. I'll be editing my videos only minutes before they're published, or even writing this newsletter only hours before it's heading your way ๐
But it's thanks to those deadlines that I deliver and perform. I would probably never have published videos once a week, unless I had promised you AND my sponsors to do so. That's only one of the many examples of how much I need deadlines.
๐ฌ TV Series: Wednesday
Christine and I both agree: this is a new favorite series of ours! We've only just finished episode 5, but we were instantly hooked by this new Netflix series. It's a great mixture of fantasy, dark humor and thrill.
๐ Book: Tim: The Official Biography of Avicii I just finished listening to Tim: The Official Biography of Avicii. It's such an inspiring book, but it's full of tragedy at the same time. Tim is one of those artists that I've followed for years. I've also had the opportunity to watch this amazing entertainer and musician perform live. And just like countless of fans out there in the world, I felt deeply saddened by his passing. This is a book I think everyone should listen to. To get a deeper insight of the life of an accomplished artist, and to start comprehending how the madness of this world would lead to his death. At the age of only 28. Psst...! If you sign up to Audible using this link you'll get 30 days for free right away ๐
Until next time.
Hugs, Kalle
