How To Fail Successfully
Hi friend,
Today I would like to share a little story of something that happened during my last live stream.
One of the very best parts of hosting live streams, is that I actually get to know you guys. It is so cool to be able to learn more about the people that are watching my videos! You ask so many good questions and often make me think. And this last time, a question that really stood out to me was the one that I got from Alison:
“Can I ask your advice on how you approach failure, when you have set your heart on something?”
I remember leaning back in the chair, having to think for a good second. And then I started to — what I call — “provprata” in Swedish. This basically means that I try to talk around a topic, but without being really sure about what will come out of me. And this got me thinking…
We live in a society where we’re constantly fed the idea of failure as something bad. So we end up trying to avoid it as much as we possibly can — as if it was the plague. But, what I in fact learned is that failure can actually be a very crucial part of achieving real success.
Take it from someone who has experienced his fair share of failures in life 😅 I've failed at jobs, I've failed in relationships, I’ve failed numerous times on YouTube and I've felt like a complete failure more times than I can count. But still, I stand here today telling you that all of these failures have actually taught me more than any success every could. Why? Because through making mistakes, I learned the art of how to bounce back, adapt and grow.
Let me share something with you that I’ve realized along the way:
First off, it is important to understand that failure is NOT the direct opposite of success. Rather, it’s a part of your journey towards succeeding. Every single person who has been successful in some way, has first failed at some point or another. If you’re not failing, you’re not trying hard enough. At least that is how I see it.
Secondly, don’t be afraid of failure — embrace it! When you’re constantly scared of mess ups, you’ll end up never taking risks or challenging yourself. Acknowledge that failure is a possibility, yes, but don’t let it stop you from giving it your best shot. And if you do fail, think of it as “failing forwards” and see it as a necessary lesson on the path towards your success.
Thirdly, learn from your failures. When you fail (because you will), take the time to actually analyze what went wrong. Ask yourself what you could do differently next time you try. Is there something you can improve — and in what way? If you can learn from your failures, you’ll be able to use them as opportunities for growth.
Lastly, don’t beat yourself up when you do fail. Remember that failure is a natural part of life — and that it doesn’t define you as a person. In Sweden we have this saying: “bryt ihop och kom igen”. It pretty much means that it is ok to have a meltdown when something goes wrong. But keep it short, and get back up on the saddle again. Keep a positive attitude, stay determined and keep pushing yourself towards your goal.
To sum things up: changing your mindset and habits when it comes to failure, is absolutely essential in order to succeed. Adapt. Learn. Grow. And try again. And remember — the only true failure is giving up.
3 Self-help Books That Changed My Life
Since we are already on the topic of failure and success… Last night I released a brand new video on YouTube, where I talk about 3 amazing books that truly changed my life. And since I wholeheartedly want YOU to succeed with every goal you have in life, I really want to share these titles with you.

Oh, btw! Did you notice the hoodie I’m wearing in this picture? It’s actually produced in Sweden, made out of 100% Swedish wool. Seriously, this is the MOST comfortable piece of clothing I have ever worn! So of course, I wanna share it with you, so that you can take a closer look if you feel like it.
This is an affiliate link and I wanna be upfront with you: I do get a little kickback if you buy one. But, I hope you know by now that I would never recommend something to you that I don’t believe in. And I’m really excited to finally have some Swedish clothing to recommend and proudly talk about 🙂
My Top Three
📖 Book: Why We Sleep, by Matthew Walker
I recently re-read this book and got reminded of how important this topic actually is. Christine and I have started shifting our habits a lot when it comes to sleep; at 9 PM we’re already hitting the pillow. I feel old admitting this, haha! But it really feels amazing to wake up at 6 AM and feel rested.
Last time I read the whole book, but this time however, I decided to read the summary on Shortform. It is a platform that offers book summaries and guides to help you get all of the key insights, from some of the BEST books out there. I personally use Shortform to quickly and easily access the most important takeaways from books, in just minutes.

🎬 YouTube video: FAR FROM HOME | Iceland Cinematic
Yesterday I had a Zoom call with my good friend Arnúlfur and he recommended that I’d check out this youtuber. All I can say is WOW. The words and cinematography in this video really hit me. It’s smooth, inspirational and SO beautifully put together!
💡Service/product: GPT 4
I don’t think anyone has missed the rise of AI lately. But if you have, for whatever reason, then it’s time to get yourself up to speed!
I’ve been using different sorts of AI in my work since December and it has streamlined my working process sooo much. Specially the chat GPT. If you haven’t heard of it already, it is a language model designed to generate human-like responses to text-based prompts, using deel learning algorithms and a large corpus of data. If you wanna know more about what it can do, just click on the link above and have a look for yourself 🙂
I remember watching the movie Her when it came out, thinking it was so cool. It’s kinda crazy to think that now, just a few years later, we’re basically there! That futuristic movie is now a reality.
Until next time,
Hugs Kalle
