đź’Ş Doing the Impossible

Hi friend,

This weekend, I’ve been sick for the first time in what feels like ages. Christine has ordered me to spend the entire day on our couch. So here I am, lying on the couch, feeling a bit bored—which I honestly think is quite healthy for me, haha.

I think my body is sending me quite obvious signals to slow down a bit. But I can’t help feeling like I’m wasting my time here among the fluffy pillows. I often struggle with feeling that I haven’t accomplished enough. I keep looking forward and sometimes forget to celebrate the victories. That’s why it’s so necessary to sit on this boring couch and actually look back on how far I’ve come.

When you’re in the middle of it or keep chasing that next finish line, it can often feel impossible to reach. For example, when we drilled the well here, everything that could go wrong did. I felt so deflated, and the dream of this idyllic cabin in the woods felt like an eternity away. It almost felt impossible to reach.

But now, when I’m on the other side of it, sipping the ice-cold water from the new well, it all makes sense. It’s like that famous quote:

"You can't connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards." - Steve Jobs

Life is like climbing a mountain. It's easy to keep pushing forward, focused only on reaching the summit. But every once in a while, it's important to pause and look back. Otherwise you’re missing the view! Each small step you took, every foothold you found, has brought you higher. Those moments of reflection remind you of the progress you've made, the challenges you've overcome, and the strength you've gained along the way. Each step, no matter how small, has been a vital part of your journey.

I mean, if you had told me seven years ago, when I was still living in the city and standing in that uninspiring store selling sports equipment, that one day I would live in a cabin in the woods with my stunning Danish girlfriend, our cute son, and our two Siberian huskies, I would have said, “Impossible!”

But here we are, doing the “impossible.”

On the topic of doing the impossible, earlier this week we started a major renovation here at the cabin: building a brand new kitchen!

I’ve just uploaded a whole behind the scenes video on my Patreon, showing the entire project so far.

I’ve got GREAT NEWS! I'm doing another Subscriber Event!! 🎉 I'm soooo excited for another one of these, where I invite you guys to come here and experience the north of Sweden together with me.

Registration closes soon, so this is your last chance to sign up! Come and hang out with me, meet new friends and experience the life I always share in my videos!

My Top Three

🎦 Movie - The Whale

Christine and I just watched this one, and it left us both kind of speechless. A reclusive, morbidly obese English teacher attempts to reconnect with his estranged teenage daughter. Please take the time to watch this one!

🎵 Song - Abe Parker - numb

I stumbled upon this song on Instagram and when the chorus hit I literary stared crying. His voice and lyrics just hits the right spots ❤

âś’ Quote

Until next time,
