My Rule of Thirds
Hey there
Today I'd like to start by asking you a question, that I've started to ask myself:
What advice would you give to those attempting something that seems impossible?
I actually learned this from the runner Alexi Pappas. She had this massive dream to compete in the Olympics and β as you may imagine β her journey towards realizing that dream wasn't exactly a walk in the park. It was, however, a journey where she had to face a lot of stress, get over obstacles and mental challenges.
But one day, her coach took her to the side and said:
βWhenever you're chasing a big dream, you're supposed to feel good a third of the time, okay a third of the time, and crappy or not great a third of the time. And if you feel roughly in those ratios, it means you are in fact chasing a dream. If you feel too good all the time, you're not pushing yourself enough, and if you feel too fatigued, you might be burning out or having a mental-health challenge and need to reevaluate."
When I heard about this story, the words of her coach really stuck with me.
Because, let me tell you. Going after my dream of living up north, out here in the forest, sure wasn't a story filled with rainbows, glitter and unicorns. And do you really think that my road towards "making it" as a professional Youtuber, was an easy one? A bump-free ride? To be honest, I was really scared of the results. But, I felt SO good doing it and in the end those highs would outweigh the lows. Like the nights I spent in my sleeping bag, in ridiculously low temperatures. Or the real crappy days when I looked at my videos, thinking they weren't even worth uploading for anyone to see.
So, my friend. My message to you today is to stop letting temporary obstacles, keep you from chasing your dream. Accept that some days are just shitty. And that you have what it takes to do reach your goal, even if you have days of doubt.
Your mind has a very powerful way of making you believe in EVERYTHING you're thinking. So don't trust your brain on a shitty day. And remember that better days are coming.

Sharing Is Caring
I've always believed in the power of sharing β and one of the best ways of showing support to creators like myself, is to share their content. But, sharing content can also be a great way of caring for a good friend.
